Daniel Craig and Casino Royale

Ok, if you have not yet seen Casino Royale, you must see it! It's still in some theaters, and it's definitely worth the over priced ticket at AMC in Danbury. Daniel Craig did an amazing job playing Bond. I must admit, I was a little skeptical when I first heard that he was going to be Bond due to the fact that he is a blond and Australian. But now, I believe Craig to be one of the best Bonds. He's rough around the edges, much like the classic Connery, but not quite as smooth as Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore. Now being that Casino Royale is meant to be the first Bond where James is upgraded to 00', the smooth talking and womanizing may come in time.
As for the movie, it was excellent. It had a great storyline, and the acting was great. The gadgets were not quite what I had expected, but once again, because Casino Royale is supposed to be the first Bond, I believe that the gadgets in later Bond films will be more unbelievable.

I must disagree he broke the stereotypical B
ond and ruined the tall dark and handsom look that people around the world associate with Bond, James Bond

No jesus freak.....he ruined it. He looks axactly like what Bond fights against. A typical Nazi. Blond hair and blue eyes. Come on! No way.

I think Craig redefined Bond in a way that is believable and interesting in today's world. The new film toed realism, and I think that kind of gritty balls out approach is the kind of jumpstart that the franchise needed.

I loved Brosnan, I grew up with him as 'my' Bond, and GoldenEye is still a great movie. But I'm ready to embrace Craig's run, and I'm looking forward to seeing him continue to make the character his own; I feel like, for the first time, we may see Bond as a human, who grows and changes, rather than the smirking charicature he had become. I loved that too, but I was ready to move on, and this intruiged me.

Nice blog.
